TV Keeper privacy policy

This policy explains what the TV Keeper Fire TV app and tvkeeper.com collect and do not collect.

Summary

TV Keeper is designed to run locally on your Fire TV. The app does not require an account, does not run ads, and does not include analytics, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs.

Information the app stores locally

TV Keeper stores setup information on your device so it can watch and recover Kodi. This may include:

The Kodi package or target selected during setup.
The local host, port, username, and password or credential you enter for Kodi control.
Watchdog preferences such as whether the watchdog is enabled.

This information stays on your Fire TV. TV Keeper does not send it to TV Keeper servers.

Network access

The app uses local network or loopback access to check whether Kodi is reachable and responding. These requests are used for watchdog and recovery behavior. They are not analytics events and are not sent to TV Keeper.

Accessibility service

TV Keeper may ask you to enable an accessibility service for optional recovery features. The service is used to help detect and recover stuck-screen states on your TV. It is not used to read personal content, capture passwords, or send screen contents to TV Keeper.

Website and APK download

tvkeeper.com hosts the free APK download at tvkeeper.com/tvkeeper.apk. Normal web server logs may be created by the hosting provider when you visit the site or download the APK. TV Keeper does not use website analytics or advertising trackers.

Payments and third-party links

TV Keeper is free. The optional support link opens Buy Me a Coffee, a third-party website. If you choose to leave a tip, that transaction is handled by Buy Me a Coffee and its payment providers. TV Keeper does not process or receive your card details.

Support email

If you email [email protected], TV Keeper will receive your email address and whatever information you include in the message. Do not send passwords or private Kodi credentials unless you choose to share them.

Children

TV Keeper is a utility app for Fire TV devices. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

This policy may be updated as TV Keeper changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when the policy changes.
